Variance to the Major Thoroughfare Plan - 3rd Street

The City of Ozark is requesting a variance to the OTO Major Thoroughfare Plan for Right-of-Way requirements along 3rd Street.

Major Thoroughfare Plan Variance Packet

The public is invited to comment on a variance request for the Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP). The MTP is part of Transportation Plan 2040 and outlines functional classifications of roadways with design standards to achieve those functional classifications. The City of Ozark is requesting a variance for a development on the west side of 3rd Street just north of Walnut. This portion of 3rd Street is classified as a Primary Arterial, which requires 110 feet of ROW. The request is to limit the Right-of-Way required to 40 feet from centerline (as opposed to 55’).

The public comment period will continue until April 18, 2019. After reviewing recommendations and public comments, the OTO Board of Directors will decide whether to formally approve the variance at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 18, 2019 at noon, at 2208 W. Chesterfield Boulevard, Suite 101, Springfield, MO.
